Thanks for listening to our Podcast.
Okay, Keith and Kevin here from Beat the Casino. Listen, uh, we're gonna go ahead with the uh series of the uh seven habits of highly effective baccarat players. And of course now we're on probably, you know, from my perspective, it's probably the one of the most important ones. Habit number five is uh, you know, seek first to understand and then to be understood. And I think that's you know one of the primary philosophies of uh beat the casino of uh you know learn all there is to know, then bring what you have to the table. And you know, that's generally how you evolve as becoming a great Bacaroth player. But I've had Kevin out here in Vegas who's uh was his uh brain child here to uh tie these uh habits to uh great baccaroth play. So Kevin, how you doing? And uh, you know, give us your thoughts on habit five.
SPEAKER_01Well, I think uh I think habit five is your point is very important. And uh in the case of uh Beach Casino, yeah, really what the Beach Casino uh forum and everything else that goes with it is all about. Yeah, I think so too. I it it's it's it it's about providing a way for players of all experience with them. And I mean people that are brand new and they just trying to figure out what the banker, what the player. Yeah, all the way up through people that have played for years and years, right, but they just can't seem to win very easily. They just can't seem to find ways that would contribute to them being a better player.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I I think so. And I, you know, I think a lot has to do with, you know, uh one is it's and it's not their fault, too. When they come, they usually come from a system stellar, and a system stellar will go, okay, well, here's how you should play, and just go overlay that approach on every game and you'll be a winner. And you know, that's that's rather short-sighted and it's certainly not gonna work. And secondly, is you've you've skipped every step to be highly successful. You know, particularly this one is seek to understand. Well, if someone's giving you a rote way to play, you're just memorizing the steps and being a parent. You're not really trying to understand what you're what you're doing. Uh, and of course, that's what we try to open your eyes up for is to, you know, what am I actually doing here? What is the approach that they're uh trying to get me to understand? And what statistics should I look at?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, I uh anything you read, any video pretty much you look at that doesn't involve a forum. I'm not being critical of it because I there are some good ones out there. Oh sure. What happens is is if you were to read books about Bach Ryan. If you were to look at uh other you know, uh uh videos, if you were to uh uh get on the different websites, right? For the most part, it's really difficult to win because it's a 50-50 proposition. Right. Okay. And so you're gonna fall into the trap of like I did for many years of thinking, well, I can't win because it's just, you know, if it's if there's a little too many bankers then normal, you know, that's fine. Like I I'm just gonna bet there's gonna be player because I know it's gonna be player is gonna get strong all of a sudden.
SPEAKER_00Right, right. And that's the exact opposite of way to play.
SPEAKER_01Right. And and that's the that's the part about you gotta understand how mathematics and statistics play into uh being a winning player.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely. And and of course, one of the things that we're gonna advocate for when you first come to the forum is you're gonna we're gonna teach you and get you to learn all the approaches and everything we look at. And of course, we usually start pretty simple. Hey, you know, look, man, it's just opposites and repeats, and then we expand upon that. You know, how do you look at them? And then, of course, then we move you, of course, usually first. I think the first one most folks use is the one that you came up with. Is and it's great, the V87 approach. And understand that and understand what it is that you're actually looking for, and that's a simple way to play, it's a great way to play, and it's a winning way to play. And of course, we have manuals and videos on that, and that's the first thing you have to grasp. Then we get more into the 5D, the V87 Plus, the XTB that uh uh XDN was talking about today, the ORE, uh all the other approaches. Uh you know, it's important that you understand all the all the ways that over the years that have evolved into the best way to play. And of course, we talk about time before last, opposite time before last. We have NOR, System 40, F, RD1, all those things are very valuable to understand. And once you grasp that, you kind of get a uh a large holistic view of how you should approach the game. And that's one of the things, and and of course, you know, seek first to understand. And then I think you'll find is once you understand your perspective on the game will change and you'll have something to contribute, Kevin, to to the forum, uh, based upon uh you know a real foundation of knowledge.
SPEAKER_01Correct. And you'll feel a lot better about yourself quite handily. You'll say, Oh, you know what? There is some uh uh ways that I could practice and get good at and get better at either and uh really you know help my game. Also, we teach people how to understand the information that's on the code board. Exactly. It's it's I mean if you look at it just from you know ten thousand feet, so to speak, it just looks like a bunch of gobbledygoops, yeah. And you get down into the derived roads and stuff like that, and nobody understands it. Not it, nobody but people don't understand it, and they they watch other plays and say, Well, how are they magically figuring out what to do? Or how comes this person on here they can't no matter what they do, they lose, you know.
SPEAKER_00Exactly, exactly. So, you know, and then then there's a level underneath that that you know it's it's it's like the obvious stuff on the on the big road display and then the derived roads, but then we dig deeper into it is the numeric statistics, the the the the whole the whole shoe approach is what does it do at the beginning of the shoe? And then we get into the 10 best bets, you know, what should you look for? What you know, like the strong side, uh uh most common, least common, all those things that you that you can kind of wrap your head around and and really understand the game. And and that's the first thing is to really understand the game and you know, teach yourself how to win, learn how to win first, you know, uh from other players, from players who win. You know, we had a lot of people sign up lately and uh, you know, they say, Man, uh, I got a text the other day from uh uh geez, I forgot uh Mike MM out in uh out in California. He plays at Commerce, he goes, Man, I never looked at the game this way. He goes, Thank you so much, you know, for showing me about uh, you know, uh simple things like strong side and then you know what to look for that that is a trigger for strong side. And uh, you know, he said he was to your point, it was playing pretty much the wrong way, so to speak, looking for things that had really no effect on what the next outcome of the of the game was gonna be. So uh, you know, now he's trying to just gather all the information that he possibly can and understand everything. And I think that that's at the essence of of becoming a great player is to learn everything. And and that that's true in just about anything you do. And Kevin, from your perspective too, from the business aspect, I mean, uh, you know, being an entrepreneur that you were, I'm sure you had a lot of things that you had to try to understand first. Is that correct?
SPEAKER_01You know, well, absolutely. And then you know, what I really realized is the longer I would look at something, the the broader my field of vision got. And I started learning that I didn't understand as much as I thought I did. There's a lot more to learn. You know, that's that's a true example uh that really relates to my price. You know, we talk about you know, oh, I had a winning shoe today, and look at this sequence of events and I'm gonna post it, and here it is, and that's all well and good. But like, you know, Keith, you're a big proponent of saying, hey, tell us about when you lose, also.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. Because if you analyze, if you yeah, you know, how many times do you go through and you you know you just uh you know, you're up, you're down, you're sideways, but you're just not winning. And you get to the end of the day, and you know you maybe you bet a little too much at the end because you should have just got up and left because it's just not going your way or whatever, and it's not you know playing into the things you know. And you say to yourself, What happened? And all you have to do is if you really have recorded it on your card, you'll look at and you'll say, Well, no wonder I wasn't winning. That's right. That's right. I kept playing this one way, I kept thinking this was gonna finally kick in and it wasn't kicking in. There's so many ways to uh uh not attack the shoe. There's so many ways to find out how the shoe is coming to you, and then decide how to, you know, adjust to that and how to defeat it from there. It's no different than a football team, okay? The team that go out there and say, well, we're just gonna sling the ball downfield, sling the ball downfield, sling the ball downfield, you know, pretty soon it's three and out. They call it three and out. You know, I'm gonna go whatever. Okay, right. A good team is really observative of what the other team is doing, and how are the how the team planning their attack on your team so that you can adjust to it? That's the box all about is adjusting to what you're being given as the cards come out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, and to your point, that's such an excellent example, you know. Like, tell us what you're doing. You know, don't just I mean, you know, it's easy when you win. Well, I was doing this and this worked, and yada yada yada. Well, when you lose, now that's your biggest opportunity to learn something. Well, why did I lose? Well, sometimes you're just gonna lose no matter what you do. I mean, let's let's be honest.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely, you know.
SPEAKER_00But the first thing is is if you uh what you gotta do is take those times where you could have done something different, where your thought process was there was a mistake. Okay, well, I could have taken that loss and made it a break-even, or I could have taken that loss or a break-even and made it a win. And that's the difference between a winner and a loser. And you know, you kind of have to come to the forum with an open mind of, and that's the whole essence of of uh of this uh highly effective habit is come first to understand. In other words, put your ego aside and try to try to gain the understanding that everyone else has. And to your point, it was such a great analogy. Uh, you know, broaden your your view, broaden your scope of how much you you actually know. And and you'll be surprised. It's you know, it's kind of like an AA meeting, too. You know, you got to come in and go, well, you know, I may not be doing so good at this Baccharah. And believe it or not, I have a lot of people that joined the forum and actually are uh folks enough to go ahead and actually admit that. You know, like, look, man, I joined, I tried everything, and this is my last, this is the last thing I'm gonna do here, and uh, you know, we finally believe it. They're glad they did.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's it's ever evolving, and it's great to get you know new people involved and hear their. You know, I I mean every time I get on the board, I look and see what people are saying, and I think, yeah, oh my gosh, you know, I I I I sometimes I say to myself, you know what? Um, I've forgotten more than most people know. Oh, absolutely at this point, yeah. It's just a way of saying that I've been doing this long enough, you know, that there's so many things that really it's first understanding again. What that means is again, all the things we do have their roots in things that were uh uh looked at and developed uh longer ago, and then you know the important to say, well, you know, if you just look at it a little bit so we're gonna like this, oh my gosh, that's really what's happening today. Yep, it's very true.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely, absolutely. So well listen, Kevin, thanks a lot. You know, we want everybody to stay up with the series. We got two more to go, and uh, you know, we'll wrap up this series for you. It's it's I think it's uh, you know, it's it's not so much about strategy, it's about kind of the psychology of winning and the approach to learn. And I think uh, you know, it's very valuable lessons that we're talking about here, uh, especially for Bakra. I think there's a direct correlation and uh with with that great book that was written, and uh, you know, we hope you enjoy uh Kevin and myself seriously.
